Hampstead Summer Festival 23 June to 7th July

The Garden Party at Keats Community Library will take place on the followingSaturday, 29th June, in the beautiful grounds of the Library in Keats Grove.

This is a firm favourite with families as the children are entertained with face-painting, rhyme-time, storytelling, and a treasure hunt, while the adults can enjoy tea and delicious cake, on the lawn under the tree where Keats wrote Ode to a Nightingale.

This year a special attraction will be an appearance by David Baddiel author of 5 children’s books:  Head Kid, The Person Controller, Birthday Boy, The Parent Agency and Animalcolm.

After the best ever Art Fair on Sunday 23rd June, we have set the next events a tough challenge!  Sunday may have been muggy and overcast but the rain held off and we had far more than ever pop in. The Dog show was a great kick off at noon. Alan Davies spoke strongly in support of the Fair and of the Library in particualr and spent most of the afternoon with his family at the Fair. Perfect host!

And finally, the ultimate day out, the Big Fair on 7th July, with over 120 stalls along Heath Street, the funfair, birds of prey, donkey rides, the circus school and the chess challenge.  As ever, there will be rocking music, jazz, hip hop to make you boogie down the street, dance and sports demonstrations.

The Summer Festival aims to raise much needed funds for  Keats Community Library and Hampstead School of Art.
